My name is Bisher Rihani. This picture of me is at the young age of 8 by the way. I'm a Jordanian born on December 22, 1972 in the "best city on the planet" (as I always claim), "Al-Zarqa" that is. My wonderful parents are originally from a small town next to "Irbid" in Northern Jordan called "Husun". I'm the youngest of 5 wonderful brothers and a wonderful sister, whom are all in the US.
I finished my high school education in Al-Zarqa, Jordan in June 1990 in a high school called "Al-Shamila", nicknamed "Al-Hamila". I came to the US in August 1990, finished my education as a Mechanical Engineer from the University of Illinois at Chicago in December 1996, and started working at Marconi Communications in Naperville, IL as a senior thermal engineer since then.
I got married on October 3rd, 1998 to the greatest person on the planet, my beautiful and sweet wife Phoebe (fibi) Laktineh, who is a Syrian (from Damascus). We currently live in a little nice house in the northwestern corner of Chicago, IL USA. I also have 3 beautiful cats named, Nappura, Hadi (the quiet one) and Taghreed (bird singing)!!
I learned web design on my own after getting married in 1998, by the way. It took only a few months to learn, but this website took a lot of effort and dedication to achieve, and still takes effort to update and to keep up with your e-mails. This is a totally non-profit website, I'm not making any money out of it, but do it for the fun of it, and also to serve my wonderful Arabic community, which I am very proud to belong to, and will always be.
